Plastering – Internal plastering on walls consist of three
coats : one is a base coat, which is applied about 10mm
thick, and. the finishing coat consists of a two coat
finish application of about 3mm.
The backing coat can be done with various materials
including Sand and Cement, Hard wall Bonding or Lime and
Sand.
On ceilings two thin coats of finishing plaster is
normally applied. On Artex, 3 coats may be needed.
In both cases this is the norm. However in some cases a
different technique may be required due to the structure
of the wall or ceilings.
All plaster finishes can be decorated with paint,
wallpaper or vinyl when the plaster has dried out
completely, as long as the plaster has been treated with a
paint sealer.
AC Plastering and Damproofing Limited also carry out most
aspects of Lime Rendering and Hair Plastering, or
Rendering including Lath replacement.
